I had planned to write a couple of posts on Friday. However my Thinkpad had other plans on Thursday. The ac adapter decided it had enough and burned out (so to the wags out there who left me voicemails and emails enquiring if I was suffering from premature blogging burnout you were partly correct. 🙂 After a 5 minute phone call to the very friendly and super efficient Peter, from the Netherlands, sitting in IBM support, in a beautiful part of the world called Greenock, by the waterside in bonny Scotland, a replacement was winging its way to me. As promised it arrived on time by DHL. My first laptop was the Thinkpad 750Cs, and every laptop since, right up to my current T41 has been a Thinkpad. Based on this customer experience a Thinkpad will be on my shortlist again next year when its time to upgrade. So thanks again Peter for sorting everything out.
